Strategies & Plans
Nick has dedicated over a decade to professional and personal development in various areas to ensure individuals and families can progress successfully through all life stages.
He offers a wide range of therapeutic and coaching services to support individuals, couples, and families. In his practice, clients talk, feel, articulate emotions, pinpoint trigger areas, form a plan, execute it, and evaluate its effectiveness. This method ensures a thorough and effective therapeutic process tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
He also specializes in working with adolescents, guiding them in building resilience, confidence, and balance. He uses sand tray, art, and play therapy to help children express themselves and communicate in ways that feel natural to them.
For parents of high-performing children, he provides parental counseling to help the parents understand their child's high performing mind and manage the stress, anxiety, and perfectionism that often come with it.
Beyond family support, Nick offers couples counseling to strengthen relationships through improved communication, trust, and connection.
His background in sports psychology and performance coaching helps athletes, professionals, and other high performers manage pressure, sharpen focus, and reach their goals without sacrificing well-being.
Whether through counseling or coaching, Nick’s approach blends compassion with practical strategies to foster growth, resilience, and lasting success.
The Difference between Counseling and Performance Coaching
While counseling primarily addresses mental health concerns and emotional well-being, performance coaching is more focused on building tools like personal development, confidence, resilience, emotional regulation, and goal setting. Counseling tends to be more clinically oriented and involves the diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders, while performance coaching does not involve diagnosing or treating psychological conditions.
It's important to note that the boundaries between counseling and performance coaching can sometimes overlap, and Nick may incorporate elements of both disciplines into his practice. Ultimately, the choice between counseling and performance coaching depends on an individual's specific needs and goals, whether they are seeking therapeutic support to address mental health concerns or looking for guidance and motivation to achieve personal and professional objectives.
Performance coaching is an out of pocket expense, counseling may be covered by insurance depending on what company the client has.
